— I’m so glad you’re here!
My name is Sarah, and I love solving problems.
Dedicated to democratizing data, my goal is to bridge the gap between data and understanding, creating work that engages and empowers. With a human-centered approach, I design for users, not data. My work is supported by writing and art practices where I explore the theory, processes and ethics of information.
I approach my work, and the people it serves, with integrity. Being a multi-disciplinary designer allows me to engage in all stages of the data synthesis and translation process. I put problem solving first, applying my skills - and learning new ones on the fly - to make data stories accessible, impactful, actionable, and fun.
I’m fuelled by enthusiasm, wonder, and a profound curiosity in, well, just about everything. I’m curious about you, too! I’d love to hear from you.

My work and life are deeply integrated. I find inspiration in the forest and shores of the unceded traditional territory of the Pentlatch, E’iksan, Sahtloot and Sasitla First Peoples. I recognize that for millennia, these ancestral people have passed on their culture, history, and traditions from one generation to the next on these colonized lands I call home.
Outside of my studio, I’m a dedicated parent to two teens and a dog, with whom I love to adventure, play, and sail the Salish Sea (well, the dog doesn’t sail, yet). I’m invested in community, collective action, learning in public, and holding each other close.
