ILLUSTRATION

I focus on character in my illustrations. Even when there are no people or creatures in an artwork, they’re still there behind the scenes, driving the story. Sometimes the character is you, reflecting the image you see off of your own experiences. With illustration, we all get to participate in the process!

I use illustration in all of my work. My animations rely on strong illustration to tell stories. In data viz, illustrations serve to make data stories more relatable. In my studio practice, illustrations help me to explore my relationship to myself and the world around me. You can see examples of all of this in the select projects below.
